Continuous learning is a way of life for all our clinicians. As teachers and researchers, we are continually advancing and sharing knowledge to stay at the forefront of medical discovery and to share that knowledge with our students, patients and peers.
Training the next generation of doctors, nurses and other health professionals is a cornerstone of our academic health network. Our academic affiliation and partnerships with the The Robert Larner, M.D. College of Medicine at UVM and the UVM College of Nursing and Health Sciences allow us to enhance classroom education and to provide on-the-job training throughout our system. Our 21 residency programs and 25 fellowship programs allow rising physicians, surgeons and specialists to enhance their clinical training at UVM Medical Center in Burlington, Vermont and by rounding through our different hospitals and clinics throughout our system.
