Quality of Life

Situated on the Adirondack Coast of Lake Champlain, the small waterfront city of Plattsburgh offers a community experience that is full of history and activity. There is a distinct local charm to this area that celebrates local artisans, business, agriculture and history. Activity in this city is centered around Lake Champlain with boating, sailing, windsurfing, fishing or just relaxing on one of the beaches. Just to the east, in the Adirondack Mountains, you’ll find abundant opportunities to hike, ski, mountain bike or just take in nature. Plattsburgh may feel more like a large town, but it’s fast becoming a small international destination for tourists and visitors from nearby Montreal who fly into Plattsburgh International Airport. Experience what life on the water is like here in Plattsburgh.
