Job Description

Central Vermont Medical Center (CVMC) is the primary health care provider for 66,000 people who live and work in Central Vermont. We provide 24-hour emergency care with a full spectrum of inpatient and outpatient services at our hospital and 27 community-based medical group clinics. Our main campus in Berlin also includes Woodridge Rehabilitation and Nursing, a 153-bed skilled nursing facility that provides both long-term and short-term care

Salary & Benefits:

Position Details:

  • Full-time, 12-month, salaried position with attending staff privileges at Central Vermont Medical Center
  • Position entails providing general surgical services to the patient population served by our partner community medical center, Central Vermont Medical Center (CVMC)
  • CVMC has a reputation of clinical excellence with a staff that is deeply rooted in the community
  • Position offers the unique opportunity to work in a community setting while having an academic appointment with the University of Vermont Medical Center
  • Duties include educational responsibilities for medical students and general surgery residents from UVM

Requirements: 

  • MD or DO degree
  • Board certification or eligibility General Surgery
  • Completed an RRC accredited general surgery residency
  • Eligible for medical licensure in the State of Vermont
  • Eligible to work in the United States
