Job Description

The University of Vermont Health Network provides care to patients from Vermont and Northern NY.  Burlington, Vermont is a vibrant community located on the shores of Lake Champlain between the Adirondack and Green Mountains.  With year-round recreational opportunities, safe communities and excellent schools, this progressive community has been frequently cited as one of the most livable cities in the U.S. Middlebury, VT, 35 miles south of Burlington, is a quintessential Vermont town and home to Middlebury College, with a quaint downtown set in the midst of the Green and Adirondack Mountains.

Position Details:

  • Clinical duties will be divided 75% at Porter Medical Center (3 days per week) in Middlebury, Vermont and 25% at The University of Vermont Medical Center (1 day per week) in Burlington, Vermont
  • Clinical responsibilities will include all aspects of general otolaryngology
  • Preference will be given to candidates with experience or interest in medical and surgical treatment of the ear
  • Successful applicants will be appointed at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor level in the clinical scholar pathway, commensurate with years of experience and accomplishments
  • Demonstrable interest in pursuing research or and teaching in an academic division which supports medical students and otolaryngology residents in our residency training program


  • MD or DO degree
  • Board certification or eligibility in Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery Medicine, ACLS certification
  • Eligible for licensure in the State of Vermont
  • Eligible to work in the United States
