Job Description

Title: Internal Medicine / Family Medicine


Location: Central Vermont Medical Center & Woodridge Rehabilitation & Nursing Center


Responsibilities:

The faculty member will split their time between the Hospitalist service at CVMC & Woodridge Nursing Home.


Key responsibilities:

• As a hospitalist: Managing an open ICU, with critical care management, code blues, providing inpatient care as well as consultative care to other hospitalized patients, and participating in the Rapid Response Team.

• As a geriatrician; Provide high quality care to sub-acute rehab patients and long-term care patients at Woodridge.

• Participating in quality initiatives, as well as divisional and departmental efforts to improve patient safety, quality of care.

Qualifications:

• MD/DO Degree

• Board Certified/Eligibility in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine

• ACLS certification

• Interest in Geriatrics and nursing home care

• Record of engagement and excellence in quality, and service

• Ability to collaborate and contribute as part of multi-disciplinary team

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Active unrestricted licensure (or ability to obtain post hire)
