Academic Interventional Radiologist at Larner College of Medicine at the University of Vermont
The Department of Radiology at the Larner College of Medicine at the University of Vermont (UVM) is seeking a full-time (1.0 FTE) Academic Interventional Radiologist. Living in a vibrant college town, on the shores of Lake Champlain and ringed by mountains with world-class skiing, while practicing 100% Interventional Radiology is a rare opportunity.
Join a growing academic practice of 50 radiologists including six Interventional Radiologists. The IR section is thriving, and we are hiring to accommodate continued growth in our practice. The collegial IR section is a stable and cohesive group. We have four dedicated IR Physician Assistants as part of the team who perform procedures, round and perform consults on inpatients, and have dedicated clinic time.

About the University of Vermont Medical Center:
· The University of Vermont Medical Center (UVMMC) is a 562-bed tertiary referral center and Level 1 Trauma Center for Vermont and Northern Upstate New York.
· We have four IR dedicated angiography suites, a procedural CT scanner, and an additional minor procedure room.
· Off-site procedural space in an ambulatory setting for elective procedures began in 2024.
· We offer an ACGME approved Independent IR Residency Program for two residents per year through this year and will transition to an Integrated IR Residency program with a plan for two residents per year. Additionally, we offer an Early Specialization in IR (ESIR) program for up to two residents per year.
· Options exist to lecture to undergraduate and graduate students at UVM through Departmental courses.
· Research opportunities are plentiful and include a 3.0T dedicated research magnet housed in the Department of Radiology.
Position Details:
· This is a Clinical Scholar Pathway full-time position with the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor.
· Applicants must have completed a ACGME accredited IR fellowship or IR residency and must be IR/DR Dual board certified or eligible. Current Interventional Radiology Residents are encouraged to apply.
· Preference will be given to those applicants with a history of peer reviewed publication and presentation at national and international meetings.
