Gastroenterologist

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Gastroenterologist to join our multidisciplinary medical team. As a Gastroenterologist, you will play a vital role in providing specialized care to patients with gastrointestinal conditions, contributing to their overall health and well-being.

    Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical histories, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations for individuals with a range of gastrointestinal concerns.
  • Diagnose and manage a variety of gastrointestinal conditions, utilizing your expertise in gastroenterology.
  • Perform outpatient procedures, including upper and lower endoscopies, colonoscopies, and other relevant diagnostic and therapeutic interventions.
  • Maintain a clinic schedule with 3 days dedicated to patient consultations, follow-up appointments, and medical management.
  • Allocate 2 days to surgical procedures in the operating room, performing gastroenterological interventions.
  • Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary medical teams, including nurses, anesthesiologists, and support staff, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records, documenting patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) with specialization in Gastroenterology.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Gastroenterology is required.
  • Valid and unrestricted medical license in NY (or ability to obtain).
  • Proven expertise in diagnosing and managing gastrointestinal conditions.
  • Strong clinical acumen and diagnostic skills for various gastrointestinal concerns.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and effective communication with patients, medical staff, and support teams.
  • Commitment to patient-centered care and evidence-based practices.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
